About Pivotrom

Pivotrom Pty Ltd ABN 68 165 885 290 was established in October 2013 as an offshoot of Spectrom Pty Ltd.

Pivotrom’s management has a strategic objective to diversify the nature of its service offering away from Spectrom’s core business.

For all intents and purposes the performance, stability and sustainability of Pivotrom’s business and the expertise that Pivotrom brings to the table is a direct reflection of the way that Spectrom has and continues to performed. Spectrom Pty Ltd has been trading for more than 30 years continuously but has been trading under the current ABN since 2007. The two companies operate under the same management structure and function from the same premises at 14 Railway Parade Kurri Kurri. There is and will remain a seamless interchangeability of materials, resources and expertise between the two companies.

Our company has extensive experience in dealing with contracts and contract management at a distance from our premises at Kurri Kurri. We have worked on projects as far afield as Queensland and Victoria and regularly carry out site work in various locations around the state. The nature of site work has varied from stud welding contracts to welding and restoration of water reservoirs. We have field electricians who carry out testing and tagging services, periodic Meg test certification for our own equipment and that of our extensive client list. These clients include Forgacs, Westrac, Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton and CPB Contractors to name a few.

Pivotrom was a regular service provider for organising and managing fabrication work to the Redbank power station before it was closed down.

Pivotrom calls upon the expertise of Spectrom supervisory staff as and when required. These staff members have a combined 100 years of industrial experience with emphasis on project management and work frontline supervision in addition to qualifications in safety and quality auditing. In addition, we have engaged the services of specialist staff with expertise in design, installation, upgrade and maintenance in the disiplines of Cathodic Protection, PV Systems and Water Treatment Plant Solutions.

Both companies pride themselves in maintaining effective safety and environmental management systems. The principle shareholder of both companies has had 40 years of industrial management experience with learned skills in achieving benchmark safety results in large organisations and understanding the dynamics of sustainable business with minimal environmental footprint. The same methodology can be applied to small or large business. For example, the emphasis on avoidance of "at risk behaviour" by employees and staff via on the job observations and workshop floor education awareness works in all circumstances.

Pivotrom is a member of The Australasian Corrosion Association.
